Despite their early '90s establishment, it wasn't until a decade later, after the folding of Pantera, that the group recorded any albums. It was then that Superjoint Ritual garnered significant TV exposure on programs such as MTV2's Headbangers Ball and Fuse TV's Uranium.
However, the group's time in the spotlight would prove short lived. A dispute between Anselmo and Fazzio led to the band's eventual split in late 2004, which was confirmed by both Hank Williams III and Jimmy Bower.
It was confirmed that they will have a reunion at the Housecore Horror Film Festival in Austin, Texas October 23rd-26th 2014. For legal reasons, the band will perform under name Superjoint. Hank Williams III was initially supposed to take part in this first reunion show, but had to bow out due to personal issues.
Although their appearance at Housecore Horror was supposed to be the only reunion show, it is now confirmed that they will be performing as Superjoint at Hellfest Open Air 2015.
The growing buzz over Pursuit of Honor positioned the band for opportunities that have proven to be stepping stones for what is expected to be a long and exciting career for BATTLECROSS, starting with a spot in a 2011 CMJ Showcase with Skeletonwitch and Kvelertak and the band's first tour ever, an Eastern U.S. run with Rose Funeral and Diamond Plate. It was during this tour that BATTLECROSS was introduced to North America and became SiriusXM Liquid Metal mainstays with the single Push Pull Destroy, which spent over 30 weeks on 'The Devil's Dozen' and reached the #1 most requested song for five weeks and to date, over two million YouTube views. Throughout 2012, satellite radio introduced singles 'Breaking You' and 'Man of Stone', together spending a total of 50 weeks on Jose Mangin's popular Metal Countdown.
BATTLECROSS' reputation for technical talent, humility and fan engagement earned the band the opportunity to continue their climb with an appearance at 2012 SXSW Metal Blade Showcase; tours with: Hate Eternal and Goatwhore (Winter 2012), Origin, Decrepit Birth, Cattle Decapitation on the Occupation Domination Tour (Spring 2012), Metal Hammer's Trespass America Festival with Five Finger Death Punch, Killswitch Engage, and Trivium (Summer 2012), a headlining stage appearance at Heavy MTL, opposite System of a Down and high-profile shows celebrating Metal Blade's 30th Anniversary with As I Lay Dying, Six Feet Under and more.
Their sound has been described as "enormous and predatory, from the baleful rhythm section to Shawn Knight's [frightening vocals]" (Fine Print Mag, 2013). They are acknowledged by authorities in the genre as having a "horrorshow/slasher-flick" flair, which descriptors apply to their records, their album art and their music videos. Their visual aesthetic is directed by their vocalist, Shawn Knight, who works professionally as a graphic artist.
Child Bite has over a dozen releases of varying lengths, including a triple split 7" w/ David Yow & Thurston Moore, as well as a 5" EP of Anal Cunt songs featuring Phil Anselmo on vocals. Their latest record, a gatefold double 45 RPM EP titled "Strange Waste," has received support from almost every notable metal publication (Decibel, Metal Hammer, Revolver, Invisible Oranges, etc). The music video for single "Ancestral Ooze" was directed by ex-Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Jeff Tuttle and features a cameo by Buzz Osbourne (the Melvins).
Shawn Knight - Vocals

Since it's incarnation at the end of 2015, the group have shared the stage with the likes of Whitechapel, Fit For a King, The Plot In You, Enterprise Earth, and Motograter. The band have also recently jumped on as a sponsored band for the always growing, COLDCOCK Whiskey, joining other sponsored artists such as, Upon A Burning Body, Atreyu, iwrestledabearonce, and Sevendust.
In April of 2016 the debut EP, In the Path of a Cannibalistic Galaxy was released worldwide. This EP represents a re-birth of sorts for the band, with the source material having been worked on for over a year, and becoming what is now known as Parallax. The first two singles to be released, "Burden", and "Dedicated Self Destruction", were mixed and mastered by Ill Niño/ex-Machine Head guitarists Ahrue Luster in Denver, CO at Illustrious Productions.
With brutal staccato guitar-wizardry; soul-crushing vocals; a hell-storm of complex, imposing drums; Earth-shattering bass tones, and a live show which is unequaled in energy or intensity; Parallax hits the road to deliver brutal tones to cities across the United States, with no rear view mirror, and a lead foot permanently fixed to the throttle.
